Why ?
In society, children's homes play a prominent role in providing care and support to those who find themselves separated from their families. This issue can pose significant emotional and developmental challenges for the children. Additionally, the absence of a home cooking environment deprives these children the chance to acquire essential life skills, by recognizing this I hope to create an encouraging environment where the children can experience and discover basic culinary skills. My passion for this project comes from my love for cooking, experimenting with flavors, and sharing results. I hope to contribute to children at Mercy House (บ้านจิตตเมตต์) by creating a supportive atmosphere that not only addresses their immediate needs but also fosters a lifelong love for food.
What ?
I plan to teach children at Mercy House (บ้านจิตตเมตต์) how to prepare delicious dishes and involve them in the cooking process. This hands-on approach allows them to learn about food while having a great time. By guiding them through the cooking experience, I hope to impart valuable culinary skills and foster a sense of enjoyment and creativity. Enabling them to explore their culinary interests in a fun and engaging way.
Fundraising
I plan to raise 21,000 baht by January 20, 2024. These funds will be utilized to purchase ingredients and cooking equipment, which will not only serve as valuable tools for teaching but will also be donated to the children’s home, enabling them to continue their culinary exploration. If about 40 people donate 500 baht each, I will be able to reach my budget goal of 21,000 baht for my project which is happening on February 17, 2024.
